HEY EVERYONE! WE’RE HOME. WOOT. Britt only did one blog while we were away, and we’re oh-so thankful for it! We had a great time in Europe and, between the both of us, we took about 3500 pictures? Not bad. When we/I are/am not so tired, some of them shall be posted here on the site. Until then we are SO sorry that they’re not up. We got back Saturday afternoon and have been out of sorts ever since.

So, the trip was good. Junior’s blood sugars were good except for the overnight plane across the Atlantic. His pump got disconnected, so his sugars went above 30. For anyone that doesn’t know, that’s TERRIBLE. (This is going to be a quick post, by the way. I’m doing the mock awards sheet for grad). We arrived in Heathrow airport on the morning of the 22nd and went touring all day. We got fish and chips!

In London, we saw the London Eye, the London Bridge, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, the Thames river… All kinds of stuff!

After a couple of days in London, we took the Eurostar to Paris. Oh, it was gor – COWS. There were COWS in the fields on the way to France! I almost CRIED. I LOVE COWS. Anywho. We arrived in France and went to our hotel and that. Deejay and I got roomed with two girls from another group. Oh gosh, it was great. I can’t wait to post the pictures! While in France, we saw the Eiffel Tower (and a bunch of other stuff that I can’t remember at the moment because I’m much too tired). Junior and I made it all the way to the top! We climbed the stairs to the second floor, and took the elevator to the top. There’s a story behind that…

So, we got lost on the second floor. I found Sam and Jessica. They were getting tickets from Adam and Jaya, who were in the line with Lucas and Cody (other group), to get tickets to the top. After a while, we all found each other, money was given to the guys in the line, and Junior and I got tickets. We all went up together. :) That’s the short version. :P Also while in Paris, we went to Versailles and the Louvre. I got a picture of the Mona Lisa!

So, after Paris, we took an overnight train to Rome. IT WAS AWESOME. We were hanging out in one of the rooms with a bunch of the other group(s). Josh, Nick, Nathan, Susan, Kimberly, Deejay, Junior, me… Probably someone else, haha. We arrived in Rome late. That was okay. When we got there, we had a tour of the Coliseum… But a torrential thunder shower (right or no?) started and we had to cut it short. It was funny though! We then had supper (maybe?) and went to our AWESOME FOUR STAR HOTEL that was about an hour and a half outside Rome. That was okay though, because it was FOUR STAR. Fun stuff.

The trip home was good, but long. The stewardess woke me up about an hour and a half into the transatlantic flight and asked if I was hungry. I didn’t sleep afterward. We stopped in Toronto and the plane was delayed for AGES. We then overnighted in Halifax. Most of us had been up for over 24 hours on the way back, so we were all tired. When we got to the hotel, we were exhausted. On Saturday, we all came back home. :)

Junior and I have been hanging out a lot since we got home. We ordered pizza on Saturday night and… Took a nap for over an hour and a half. His mom came down and woke us up at about 9:30. I don’t remember falling asleep! It was hilarious. I know I didn’t make any sense. I’m sorry, Junior’s mom! Yesterday morning, Junior and I went out for breakfast around 9:30 or so, then hung out all day. It was fun! Today was the first day back to school and it just dragged on and on and on.

I’m sorry but I’m going to leave it unfinished tonight! I’m so tired! Good night everyone, and pictures will be posted in the next week and a half or so. Junior is going away Wednesday morning and I’m going on Friday afternoon, so no blogs will be written until Sunday evening (we hope). Our apologies! Good night!
