Well. It's been an age since my last post. I'm just too darn lazy to turn on my computer long enough to write something. That, and typing pisses me off to no end. OOPS! Pardon my language. :P

So, what have I been doing? I got a job! That's what! Five days a week, weekends off, and I only work from about 7:50am to 3pm. It's wonderful! I'm working as a teacher's aide in a grade six class at the local middle school. I was thinking about becoming a teacher someday, so this seemed like a good opportunity. I'm having all kinds of fun and *I think* I'm doing well, so perhaps teaching is a good career choice for me? I know days like this past Friday really help with the decision.

This Friday was wonderful. Here's what we did:
- Period one: Made kites.
- Period two: They had computer class, so I wasn't needed. I spent an hour reading the Silmarillion, by J. R. R. Tolkien, (for those who didn't know) in the staffroom.
- Recess: A.k.a. 15 minutes of nothing.
- Periods three and four: From ten o'clock to about quarter to twelve, we took the kids swimming. What did Mr. White (the teacher) and I do? We sat and read our books. Uh-huh. Fun stuff.
- LUNCH TIME AT NAN AND POP'S! WOOT! Back to school at 12:35.
- Period five: Finished the kites again! (Saw a couple of kids with them after school, and they actually worked really well)!
- Period six (last period): Mr. White taught a bit of Math, then assigned a little bit of homework. I went around and helped out.

FRIDAY WAS GREAT.

As everyone knows, this is May 24th weekend (otherwise know as May two-four, for obvious reasons). Oddly enough, the Monday that we get as a holiday is the 21st. Hmm. There's nothing weird with that. Anywho. This weekend, I haven't done much! Last night, Britt, Mandy, Dad, and I went to Lorie's house for a barbecue with Nick, Lynn, and Dustin. It was grand! Britt and I left around quarter to nine or so to pick up Mom's truck because we had to babysit for a bit. Mom and Thomas went to someone's birthday. They were having a ball when we got there, haha. Today was rather uneventful. Nan and I went to the grocery store for some stuff that she needs for tomorrow (she's having company for supper). Junior and I went for a walk a little after that, and we visited Dad and Mandy. Then, I went to Nan and Pop's for supper. After supper, I brought Brooke home. Now I'm at Junior's!

Goodness! The title! I forgot to explain it! Well, here is goes: Mom asked me today if I want to go fishing tomorrow. I think I will. Mom and Bryton are getting pretty sick, so they're more than likely not going to go. Britt and Brooke don't want to go, and Nan isn't going either. If Junior decides to come, it'll be Thomas, Pop, Junior, and I going fishing tomorrow. A regular old boy's day out, eh?

Anywho, I think I'll leave it here for tonight. Junior didn't sleep at all last night, so he's trying to take a nap. I don't think he can sleep with me typing. Good bye for now!

- Bre :)

Waldon here! I'm finally finished my first year of College! It was fun while it lasted. :P But, now I'm on to new pastures, so to speak. I need to find a job until the end of August. Bre MIGHT be going to work instead of taking classes during intercession, so I'll kind of be spending a lot more time by myself for the next three weeks than I thought I'd be. Which kind of sucks, but it's most definitely a good thing for Bre, and that's awesome. :)

I hope we get a few weeks of down time without a job or class, or much stress together before the end of the summer though... :(

Anyways, I told you all yesterday that I'd tell you the story about what happened yesterday! So here it is!

When I was trying to go to my math exam yesterday morning, my truck had literally frozen into the driveway. I had to take the giant ice pick (Read: Large, spear-like chunk of metal) out of the shed and hack my truck out. By now I had already scraped all the ice and snow from the freezing rain the night before off the window, and by this time, there were only 5 minutes left until my exam, so I got to school as fast as I could.

I sprinted to the classroom when I reached the school, and made it before the exam actually started, but I still had to fill out the information on the front and explain to the "Invigilator" (What a word, eh? It means the person who watches you work.) where I was. By now I was 10 minutes behind? So I got to working as fast as I could.

After half an hour, the invigilator looked up, and then loudly proclaimed she wasn't feeling well, then promptly grabbed the podium she was standing next to and nearly fell unconscious. So, we were all rushing around trying to find her some water, which she was asking for, while one of us went to get help. Finally, we got her some water, and the school supervisor showed up, and had one of the nurses from the nursing classes down the hall show up and look her over. Then, the nurse lead the invigilator out into the hall, and I haven't seen or heard of her since, not even from her son.

This had all happened in the middle of our exam, and it was so unexpected that we were all in a kind of daze. Finally, the school supervisor showed up, and took over the exam monitoring.

BUT. Because we were following the schedule set by MUN and not CNA (Our school), we couldn't get more than a 15 minute extension at the end of our exam period. So we lost a total of 15 to 20 minutes in total, on top of my already lost 10 minutes. It was rough. But, to my credit, I finished a large portion of the exam, and only had to leave out two questions.

So, I just got back from spending all day with Bre. :) Well, we were doing stuff around town, but you know. I had my biology exam first thing in the morning, and so as soon as I was done, I headed over to her house, and I was with her pretty much ever since. We watched "Community" (Absolutely hilarious, btw.) for a few hours, and we shovelled some of her driveway, and after supper we watched a couple movies lol, it was fun! :)

Alright, well, I'm exhausted. And I want to go to bed. So I will. :P Good night all!

Hey! It's me! Breanna! Again! My, it's been a long time! My apologies! I don't really know why I haven't written... To be honest, I don't even know what day it is. Yay me! My brain has been... Addled lately. I don't know if I'm comign or going. That could be why I haven't posted since... My last post.

All kinds of things have happened! We had our March break, which was quite fun. Junior and I didn't do a lick of work until the last weekend of our break. Not the best idea, I'll admit, but it worked out fine. I got everything done that needed to be done (for yesterday, our first day back at school). Now I need to focus on what needs to be done for tomorrow! And the upcoming exams! Thank goodness the exams are in a month. I really need to study. (><)

Unfortunately, we have an English essay due tomorrow and I have quite a bit to do, so I'll just post a filler post! Yes, a filler post. It won't be too exciting though; it's one of the essays that I had to do this semester. Until next time!

The Night I Accomplished the Impossible

Procrastination: the story of my life. On second thought,
procrastination is not the story of my entire life, but only the story of my school career. As far back as I can remember I have always left all of my important school assignments to the very last minute. I spent many a night, and early morning, struggling to finish my school work.  Math assignments, English papers – you name it, and I did not do it until the night before it was due. Unfortunately, this turned into a bad habit and it kept with me throughout high school. In my last year of school, my biggest challenge had been writing my English essays. Instead of writing, I always found something that I deemed better to be doing; Math, for instance, was of a higher priority than English. I remember one particularly difficult essay that I had to write in my last year of high school.

It was early December, and the Christmas break was fast
approaching. The teachers had piled on us mountains of homework that they expected to be completed before school let out for the holidays. I was not very enthused about this because, as part of our homework, our English teacher had
graced us with a writing assignment. It was an essay, to be written on a major theme of the play, Macbeth. I dreaded writing this composition because I knew, like all of my other
assignments that year, I would write it the night before it was due. I also knew that, despite my knowledge of the play, I would have great difficulty writing the essay because of the pressure of writing a good quality essay at the last minute. As was my nature, I sat down that fateful Wednesday night and began to write.

The clock ticked impatiently as I sat at my desk, reminding me of how little time I had left. I listened to my light hum, and to my bed sweetly calling my name, tempting me to give in to sleep. My head throbbed with an
impending migraine as I tried to push thoughts of sleep out of my mind and think of my thesis statement. I sighed and sat back in my chair, hopeless and tired, and wished that I had started my essay the day it was assigned. I rubbed my eyes; looking at a computer monitor for an hour and half was beginning to take its toll on me. I turned to look at the clock and a horrible realization washed
over me: it was bedtime for my siblings.

It started with my brother and sister arguing upstairs about who was going to use the washroom first. It grew increasingly difficult to write as the night wore on because they began to argue about everything that came up. I became frustrated and, as a result, I had to stop working. The flow of words stopped the moment that my siblings opened their mouths. I groaned. “Why can’t they just go to bed!” I thought. Worry started to set in after a few minutes of arguing and I began to feel unwell. Time was getting short and I needed to finish my essay. When my siblings finally calmed down enough to sleep, I began
writing again, but to no avail.

I became frustrated and angry with everything that I did, everything that I wrote, everything in my room. My clock ticked too loudly, and I could not think; my lights hummed too much, and I could not concentrate; my
computer was so bright that it hurt my eyes, and I could not see straight. Even the tapping of my nails on my keyboard was beginning to annoy me. By midnight, I was too angry at myself to write any more. Thinking was almost impossible at this point, and writing became nothing but a dream that would never be fully realized. I began to contemplate going to school the next day with my
half-finished essay, but my eyes began to water just at the thought of disappointing my teacher with something that was half-done. Frustrated, I shook my head, expelling the thought from my mind before I had the chance to seriously
consider it. “Why,” I thought, “did I have to put this off? Why didn’t I do this last week?” I wiped my eyes and prepared myself for the long night ahead; there was no more self-pity for me. Breathing deeply, I exhaled my frustration and began working on my essay once more.

I am pleased to say that, despite all of my frustration, I
finished my essay and handed in the day that it was due. However, I was exhausted that day and I could not concentrate on any of my classes no matter how hard I tried. From this trying experience, I learned that procrastination is never the answer; all of the frustration and anxiety that go along with it is never worth the trouble in the end. Although I may sound enlightened, in reality
I am nothing of the sort. Procrastination is still my favourite way to get things done.

P.S. For any who read that, thanks! It's not great. Personally, I think Junior's was WAY better than mine.

Waldon here! It's my birthday tomorrow! So, I figure I should at least try and get a post in before the weekend, eh?

I don't have much time to actually break into a good post, so I'll leave you with a photo instead, alright? I took this the other day, and it might give you a good chuckle.

Click on the image to bring yourself to the page it's been uploaded on, and see it full size!

Good night all!

... And that must be how anyone who reads this feels. I'd apologize but I'm not sorry! Hehe! Junior and I are busy people so, sometimes, we don't have time to do this. Right now, Sandra and Robyn are over and Junior is talking to them about artsy fartsy stuff, so this is when I take my leave. To the blog!

First of all, happy new year everyone! I hope 2011 was good to you all, and I hope 2012 doesn't bring about the end of the world! I'm sure we all like living?

Last night, Junior and I watched the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring and the first half of the Two Towers. Sadly, we couldn't finish the second half because it was 2 in the morning! I was devastated. I love LOTR. Like, at one point, I silenced Junior so that I could hear Aragorn speak. Don't mess with my LOTR. Seriously. We also polished off a large pizza and a half, several bottles of water, a 2L bottle of cream soda (that one was all Junior), and a little bit of chocolate.

Gunner was scared all night because of the fireworks that were going off. He's a scaredy cat. He curled up on the couch with Junior and I and he lay down on my stomach.

OH MY GOSH! THIS IS THE FIRST BLOG OF 2012! We don't have any New Year's resolutions! Gah!

Today, I woke up really late... And stayed in bed even longer. I got a shower. Umm... Thomas tore out the stairs so I was stranded downstairs for about an hour? Fun times. I tried to play the Wii but it didn't work. Why? Someone had played on my Mario account a while ago so I had to start over. I'm sick of starting over. Then! The My Sims Kingdom game wouldn't work. Why? I DON'T EVEN KNOW. I gave up.

This afternoon, I hung out with Junior. We just chilled. For supper, Mom and co. and I went to Thomas' cousins' house for supper. It was nice. This evening, Cody, Gladdale, Sandra, Robyn, Junior, and I hung out at Junior's house. Sandra, Robyn, Junior, and I are left. It's nice. :)

I'm not feeling well, so I'm going to go now.. Happy 2012 everyone! :)

I don't think "sporadicity" is a word but gosh darnit, I'm going to use it anyway! I didn't realize how long ago the last post was until... Just then. SO! It's time to write something. Ah yes, and this is also even later than I had thought because it's technically the 29th here - FIVE days since the last post. This is dated the 28th. Which is better than the 29th.

Merry (late) Christmas! We didn't have any spare time that day, so there was no post. This year, Thomas wasn't home on Christmas day, but was coming home Boxing day, so we had two Christmases. On the 25th, we opened our stockings at Mom's, then proceeded to Nan and Pop's for breakfast. It was so yummy! Nan makes the best overnight French toast EVER. After breakfast, Junior came and got me. We opened each other's gifts at his house. He wrote me a poem (that I LOVE!) and gave me too much of everything! As usual. :)  After supper, we went over to Dad's and had Christmas with Dad and Mandy. It was awesome! I got this cool case for my phone that can charge it (my phone) when it's low on batteries! I really like it! :D  I loved all of my gifts, but a couple that I've already put to use are: my coat, a box of band-aids (GOD BLESS THEM), and some clothing. Yes, I got band-aids for Christmas. They're amazing.

Christmas story! A couple of days before Christmas, Pop asked Britt and I to go to the store and pick out some jewelery for him to give Nan for Christmas. We went to the store with Junior (who was our ride) and we ended up seeing Shirley and Juanita, who work at the Lodge too! They helped us pick out a beautiful silver chain and pendant. Pop liked it too, and he gave it to Nan on Christmas. She loved it! Yay! :D

OH! I'm so excited! Junior, Gladdale, and I are all going out for supper tomorrow night! I can't wait! I like Gladdale! :D

Hmmm.. I think I'm getting tired. Too many smileys. Okay! Good night! Hopefully the next post will be tomorrow... Or later today... However you want to think of it. :P

- Bre :)

Hello all! It's Waldon here tonight, and we may not have posted last night, but I'm here now to wish you all a merry Christmas eve. :) I know some of you may not celebrate Christmas, or even place much value on it if you do, but this is one of those holidays (actually, I'm a fan of Holidays in general xD) that I can really get behind. :P

I love Christmas. It gives me an excuse to be pleasant to people without them thinking I'm just trying to get something from them. It gives me an opportunity to show my friends how much they mean to me with a gift, even if that's just by buying them a small gift and wishing them well. The whole Holiday is one of goodwill and cheer, and I love it!

EDIT: I actually had a paragraph talking about how amazing Bre was tonight when she stood up in front of the church and did a reading for the congregation here. She hates reading in front of people, but she did it with aplomb, and I was so proud of her. :)

I don't get too much goodwill and cheer over the course of a year, but I've surrounded myself with wonderful people who I'm happy to share my life with for all the support and friendship that they share with me. Hopefully, I share some of it with you too. So, to all my friends, the people I consider my family, thank you, you've been more to me than I'd ever have a right to ask for. :)

Especially you, Bre. I truthfully can count the number of days on one hand that we haven't managed to be in contact somehow, to actually communicate or hear the others voice, over the past year. She's been the best of friends that a significant other can ask for; and with the coming of the new year we'll have been together for almost a full year. A wondrous milestone for the both of us. :)

So, I'm off now, I'm going to try and get a hold of Bre and all my friends to share my night with, hopefully you all will too. Somebody out there loves every single one of you, and I sincerely hope you know who they are, because they're the most important person you'll ever meet. So go find them, tell them you love them and give them a hug or something. :P Gods bless every one of you! Merry Christmas everybody! :)

Golly! He'd chuck all the wood that a wood chuck could chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood. Isn't that a mouthful? I just tucked Bryton in and, as usual, he wanted to talk. He asked me about tongue twisters. we came up with that one and the Peter Piper one. I like the Peter Piper one, myself. It's fun to say!

"Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, then where's the pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?"

Say that ten times fast!

Today was okay. I woke up and ate and stuff. After my shower, I wrapped some Christmas presents with Britt. Well, kind of with Britt. She sat there and told me off for about 45 minutes about how I was wasting her day. Oh, how I love her. She wrapped a couple, haha. But! She wrapped them very well! Junior came down to pick us up shortly after one... Or was it 1:30? I don't remember... Anywho, he picked us up, we dropped off some presents to Nan and Pop, then we dropped Britt off at Dad's. After that, we went shopping. :)

At one of the stores, I picked up a can of spaghetti and meatballs for myself. Junior warmed it up for me when we got back to his house. What a sweetheart. :)  Theeeen, we chilled out and I played Sims. I started a new file, so Junior is helping me make a house. I love it! So far, it has... Walls... And a door... And a bedroom... And half of a kitchen! We got halfway through making the kitchen when it was time for me to go home, hehe.

Junior brought me home and, since then, I haven't done that much. I ate, helped Mom with Brooke's dress, and knit a bit. Oh! I let Bryton watch part of the movie "Up!" on my computer before he went to bed. He had to stop 58 mins 29 secs in, though, because it was bedtime. That's okay! He's allowed to finish it tomorrow. :)

To be honest, that movie makes me cry! I just think it's so sad... If you don't know what I'm talking about, go watch it. It's a great movie, don't get me wrong! It just depresses me. However, it can be quite funny. Like Doug the dog. He makes me giggle. :)

Well, I think this is it for me! I need to wake up early to bring Junior to an optometrist appointment. He won't be able to drive afterward because he needs to get drops in his eyes. SO! I said I can drive him there and back again. Yay for kindness! Anywho! Good night!

- Bre :)

Waldon here! It's been too long! I apologize, but! I'm not really sorry. :P Yeah, I needed a break, Bre needed a break, so we took one. Bre got sick right after her exams, so I spent the week trying to help her feel better. And frankly, the blog doesn't take precedence in a situation like that, sorry.

But now we're back! Hopefully for a good while. :)

So! Today! Today I woke up early, started playing Dragon Age 2 and continued as such until about 1030. Then, I got a shower, played more Dragon Age, ate, and then shoveled. Excitement abounds!

Whoa. I just got about 3 (What seem to be have been delayed) texts from Glad. I suppose our phones are being jerks again. I'll ask her about it.

After shoveling, I went down to Bre's house and got her, then we went out shopping. I picked up all the bags for my presents, and now I've just got one left to get. :)

I've got to pick up some cards tomorrow too... Hmm...

After the shopping, Bre and I came back to my house for a bit, and then I dropped her home. I managed to get all my presents sorted out therein. It was good. :P

After supper I took Gunner for a walk and got completely frozen. Enough said about that. :P Then I went down to Bre's house with her and helped her with her Christmas card. :P That was fun :)

Now, here I am. I have no idea what I'm doing now. So, I bid you adieu! Good night!
-Waldon

Hey all! It's Waldon tonight, and I've got some exciting news. I got back from the cabin last night. :P It was great! Bre and I went to bed really early on Thursday night (Which is why there was no blog, btw) and we were up for 5 30 AM on Friday and I picked her up at 6 30 AM and we were on the road to my cabin at 7. :P

We got there around 10 30 (It's a couple hundred Kilometers away) and my mom and dad were there just before us, so they got the fire going and we all said goodbye and all that good stuff. Then they went off to go check dads traps, while Bre and I stayed at the cabin. We stayed overnight, and although there were some issues with the fire at one point, (i.e. it wouldn't stay lit (Stupid stovepipe draft >.<) ) and some generator problems caused by it's exhaust, we figured everything out in fairly short order and we had a good time. :) We played a lot of cards. xD We had planned to get to homework while we were up there, but I love the cabin, so I refuse to mar its image with homework. :P

It's so quiet! And relaxing. I absolutely adore it up there. I spent an inordinate amount of time just staring out the window or at the fire. xD Bre spent a lot of her time doing the same thing I did. :P We started playing cards after supper, and I don't think either of us realized the time until about 10 30 or 11 PM and then it hit us that we'd been up for almost 18 hours. xD Yeah, so then we went to bed. Bre got cold a few times, so I re-lit, re-fueled and stoked the fire a few times over the course of the night. But that's cool, I don't mind that stuff. I wake up fairly easily, and getting a fire started is always a relaxing thing to do when it's not life or death. :P

We both woke up around 10 or 1030 AM, and we got a quick breakfast and started cleaning up. :) We got the cabin back into as pristine as it gets, and packed up all the food and stuff and got ready to leave for home again, sadly. :( I don't think Bre's parents were quite ready to let her stay at my cabin for any longer than that. :P I took a quick opportunity to shoot the tops off two trees and a can of milk with the 12 gauge while I could, cause I doubted I'd get a chance to get any partridges while I was driving back. It didn't seem like good weather for the birds to be on the road. :P It was kind of disappointing. I DO love those tasty little woodland animals. xD

We started driving around 1 15 PM or so, and got home around 4 30. I love those long drives with Bre. They get silly, and silly is always fun. :P

I definitely have more stories about the cabin, but I have wo

Now today, Bre and I have both been working hard at our homework that's due tomorrow, so! I'll get back to you all soon! Good night all!
